Finally we could play at the Concert of Colors!!!! Playing there is one of Erik's dreams since we started this band!!!

We had really great time!!! The video here is the footage of the dressing room and so on!

You may feel how we were happy and fortunate to play there!!!

Unfortunately, we could not recorded the stage itself but it's on the WHFR 89.3 FM radio,
many people also got chances to listen to???? I hope so!!!

Anyway, such a great time!!! Thank you so much for being there or not even there, thank you so much for visiting this website and thinking of us!! ^v^ See YOU in near future!!!!

Our next show is the Michigan Roots Jamboree, August 6 and 7th!

However, I'm so sorry about the Top of The Park.

I've been really looking forward to playing there for a long time.

However, we rained out... even if many people came to see us...

Once again, I'm very sorry for all those people who came there or planed to be there...

I know that I can't stop raining... BUT I really wished to have the power at that moment...

I really HOPE that we will be able to get the chance to play there next year. So, please stay tuned!!!!!

• When I wandered into Whiskey in the Jar on Friday I had no idea what to expect from October Babies. I'm usually a toe-tapper and/or a head-bobber, but that night I couldn't help but dance.

The femme-fronted, Ypsilanti-based rock and soul band had a really cool groove, and it didn't seem to matter that I couldn't understand the lyrics sung in Japanese. It was the infectious enthusiasm of lead singer Toko Shiiki that turned my toe-tapping into dancing -- and I wasn't the only one. The entire place seemed to erupt into an all-out dance party. This kind of moment was what makes the Blowout so cool and unique.

           (in Ypsilanti, corner of Michigan and Washington)
           Super cool and classy new little club!!  Great ambience, sound and staff!   

Sat - Mar 13 - 10pm - October Babies at The Savoy (w/ Tokyo Sexwhale and Dragon Wagon)
   (formerly Club Divine, on Washington, 2 doors down from the Underground). 
Wow.  Finally. Ypsilanti's got a new 700-seat live music venue, 
stocked with brand new lights and sound, designed to feature touring acts 
and local groups. This gig is the club's kick-off show.  PLEASE come celebrate - show your colors!!!

 (we've been eyeing up this hip little club, and finally have a chance to play there!  
Since Heidelberg closed its doors to live music, Gracies has been inviting more local bands
to perform. Ann Arbor has become such a corporate town, and the local music/art scene is  one of the few remaining ways that one might feel the quirky personality of Ann Arbor. Come support the scene - let Gracies know that you care about the health of Ann Arbor's cultural roots!)

Please come out to these shows, not just to see us, but to show your love for the 
creative community we are all privileged to be a part of.  Support the venues that are

Someone like me who came from far far away, needs homey feeling.

Many people in this town are so so so nice and warm...

This place is the first place in the US that I started singing. Of course, in Japanese.

I thought first no one wanted to listen to Japanese songs because most of the people don't understand

what I'm singing. However,  many open-minded people have supported me to open the door.

Since I was child, I was listening to many English songs. I don't understand but I just loved them.

I know "music is universal language". But even so, I was still scared.

People in this town really told me that "Believe yourself. Any kind of language, that's OK!  Music is music!"

Some of them have joined in October Babies!! Right? Erik, Ben, Dale, and Mike! Others have been dancing and

enjoying together!!

Without singing, I could not be here. It's not too much to say. 

Thank you so much for helping me, encouraging me, and having great time together!!
